But what is the smartest ring you can buy right now? The last few years have seen a huge influx of new smart rings. However, they are not all created equal. Some smart rings have poor battery life, are inaccurate and come with confusing apps. We are here to help. In our guide below, we’ve included the best smart rings you can buy right now. The smartest ring for most people
Oura Ring (Gen 3) is our favorite and highly recommended smart ring. That’s because this smart ring ticks all the boxes. It looks great, comes in a variety of shades and a few different styles. It’s also comfortable and light, weighing 4-6g depending on which size you choose.
But it’s the wealth of data it collects that makes it a very smart ring – and a definite improvement over the original Oura and the Gen 2 ring that came before it. New sensors allow it to measure your blood oxygen level (SpO2), heart rate 24/7 during the day (previously only at night), exercise heart rate, time to restore, Time Telling, improved temperature sensing, and much more. The accompanying app has also been enhanced with new content, women’s and reproductive health, and improved sleep patterns.
The only notable drawback of Oura Ring (Gen 3) is that it is cheaper than the competition. It is also available as part of the subscription fee. It’s worth pointing out that we still think the Oura ring is good value for what it offers, but if you’re on a budget or don’t like the idea of subscriptions there are other options that will get you same experience.

The best smart ring for comfort
The Ultrahuman Ring Air has multiple sensors to track data about your health, exercise and sleep. It does this well, providing information through an insightful tool that allows you to see trends, progress and even recommendations. The focus is on sleep and energy levels – great news for anyone who leads an active lifestyle and wants more guidance on rest and recovery.
Style wise, the Ultrahuman Ring Air is very light, weighing only 2.4g to 3.6g (depending on the size you need) and is comfortable enough to wear 24/7. The only downside is that it chipped a little during testing, which I think is due to the matte black finish.
The biggest competitor to the Ultrahuman Ring Air is undoubtedly the Oura Ring (Gen 3) above, the rings look similar and offer many of the same features. Oura almost beats Ultrahuman to the top. But if you don’t like the idea of subscription and want the best option, Ultrahuman is better.

The best budget wise ring
RingConn is one of the smartest rings you can buy. Unlike its rivals, it has an unusual design. Yes, I really do. But it has subtle corners, which make it stand out. It’s one of our favorites for looks, and it’s not only stylish, subtle and less prone to wear than the Ultrahuman Ring Air, it’s also very comfortable.
It is also cheaper than the Oura Gen 3 smart ring and the Ultrahuman Ring Air. The app and its functionality are not as simple as Oura. But it comes close in many ways. It provides reliable data tracking, and the app works well although it feels busy and slow to sync at times.
So the RingConn smart ring isn’t the best on this list, but it’s still refreshing to find that it’s a solid alternative to the Oura ring (Gen 3) and it’s affordable with no subscription commitment. .

The best smart ring for payments
The McLear RingPay 2 is the only smart ring in our guide that we haven’t had a chance to test ourselves. But we really wanted to include it to show that, in most cases, smart rings are very advanced devices with sensors. But there are other sellers, like the McLear RingPay 2 which is still smart but in a very different way.
McLear RingPay 2 is designed to help you pay, no health check here. Thanks to the NFC technology embedded in the ring, it works like a contactless card. Insert the card into your RingPay wallet, then place your hand over the payment terminal. Because its components are basic, there is no need to charge.
You can monitor your spending in the app, set money to top up automatically at a certain time, add four rings to the account, transfer money between rings, suspend your account if you lose it, and others. As you’d expect from a device designed for multiple wears, it’s anti-wrinkle, waterproof and hypoallergenic.
The smartest and lightest ring
Like its rivals, the Circular Ring Slim constantly monitors important health metrics directly from your finger, including heart rate and sleep time. The accompanying app becomes more intuitive and functional over time, providing health information and lifestyle recommendations.
In this way, it is like a competition. But it falls into a few key areas. Mainly, it has disappointing battery life. If you use all the parts (because why wouldn’t you?), it will only take two days, which is much less than the likes of Oura ring (Gen 3) and Ultrahuman Ring Air.
But during testing we liked that it is easy to wear with a stylish design and surprisingly light construction. This is a cheaper version of the Ring Pro model, which explains why it falls far short of its polished but affordable competitors.

How to choose the smartest ring for you
Although many smart rings are entering the market, currently there is not much choice. So keep that in mind as you weigh your options.
The first thing to think about is: do you want a smart ring for a ring? Some basic options, like the McLear RingPay 2 above, are for NFC transactions and payments. While the rest in this list are smart rings with sensors to track your health and sleep.
It is also important to think about your priorities. If you’re looking for the smartest ring, we recommend trying the Oura ring (Gen 3), but the Ultrahuman and RingConn options are cheaper and very similar in terms of functionality and features.
Finally, are you really demand smart circle? I know that may sound like a strange question. But while smart rings are innovative and fun, they’re not for everyone. For example, if fitness tracking is your priority, you might be best off with a sports-focused smartwatch. And if you’re on a budget, you might want to try a cheaper tracker instead.
